The 8th (2018) China Battery Industry Annual Personality/Innovation Award Ceremony
2018 is an extremely special year for the new energy battery industry: it marks the 10th anniversary of China's promotion of the industrialization of electric vehicles, and also the 3rd year that the size of China's lithium power battery market has surpassed that of consumer lithium batteries. For China's new energy vehicle and battery industry chain, the current situation is a good opportunity for development.
Therefore, this forum attracted more than 500 heavyweight VIPs, industry entrepreneurs, experts, mainstream media, etc. from the global lithium new energy industry chain, including mineral resources, positive and negative electrode materials, separators, electrolytes, equipment, testing, battery cell manufacturing and assembly (PACK), battery management systems (BMS), new energy vehicles, charging piles, energy storage, etc. 50 keynote speakers, speakers, and interactive guests from China, Russia, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and other countries will provide a high-density interpretation of industry hot topics, discussing the future development path of the new energy battery industry under the trend of deep reshuffle and opening up; The attending guests exchanged ideas and explored new ways for China to move from a major producer and seller of new energy vehicles and power batteries to a strong nation.
In the keynote speech on the morning of the 21st, Professor Qilu from Peking University and Chairman of the Lithium Battery "Davos" Academic Committee gave a report entitled "Prospects for Advanced Lithium Battery Technology for Electric Vehicles", sharing the 10-year development history of China's electric vehicles, the application of solid-state batteries and human batteries, etc. He pointed out that in the past decade, the development speed of electric vehicles has been slower than expected, and safety and reliability are the main reasons. However, he is not optimistic about the application of ternary materials in the field of pure electric vehicles. Qilu believes that if fuel cells are widely applied to electric vehicles, they need to be combined with lithium batteries, and their power characteristics can only be fully utilized with lithium batteries.
